My Toronto connection:
Toronto is a city of diversity -- we enjoy diverse culture, people, food and entertainment. I feel lucky to live in a place where "different" is normal!
My family:
My husband and I got married in 2002 and shortly afterwards became parents to an amazing and energetic boy. We added a daughter to the mix in 2006. I work out of the home part-time, volunteer, socialize and spend lots of time with the kiddos.
My fun fact:
In 1999, I took off for a dream trip to Australia on my own. I spent four amazing weeks "down under" and it remains one of my fondest memories.
My life before baby:
Gee, life before kids: I worked in advertising, live event planning, communications and corporate development before having children. I still do freelance writing in addition to my BabyZone work.
My life in the BabyZone:
Life as a parent is wonderful! Even when I'm stressed out with crying, whining, or fussy kids, I feel very lucky to be a mom.
My hobbies and passions:
Hobbies and passions include: reading (I'm in a book club), writing, art, surfing the 'net, going for walks, playing Ultimate Frisbee and hanging out with our kids and husband.
My best parenting tip: Enjoy your kids! Every time I hear of a tragic story in the news, I remind myself how lucky I am to have healthy and happy children.
